Mon Sept 15 (Day 10)

Kingman, Arizona to Barstow, California

Today was a good ride, one of my favorite days but it gets hot. Going to Oatman from Kingman, AZ is one beautiful ride and in Oatman the donkeys and the Flat bread with peaches and ice ream makes for great memories.  We also had several road closures on Route 66 because of heavy rains washing the road away.  We took a detour off I-40 in order to get to the area where we lay the Memorial Rocks, we ever kinda went around a road close sigh to get to our special Memorial spot.  When we laid the rocks in the desert it was 108 degree.  However when putting the memorial rocks down to form "Ride for the Relay 2014" you somehow for just a minute forgot about the heat and as you looked around and seen rock with names from 2013 and 2012 you realized how special this place has become to all the Riders.  Later at the motel we had a great great meal and had several winners of door prizes, the there was a special Ceremony for all the new All the way Gang members.  This was the first year for the ceremony and Ron & Deb Nolan (they are Hot Air Balloonist) conducted the ceremony and made everyone feel a part of the All the way Gang family.  I have a ton of pictures and very little time.  So enjoy our Ride today.
