This web site is just about ready to go down, I can no longer make changes or edit like I need to.  Please go to the new web site www.ridefortherelay.net.  Sorry but that is the way GoDaddy works.

Wed Sept 17 (Day 12)

San Bernardino, California to Santa Monica, California

Below are all the new members of this years (2014) All the way Gang.  Congratulations to each of you.  You stepped into the unknown in Chicago, you made many memories and forever friends along the way.

Below are the proud members of this years All the Way Gang that have served in the Military.

We had to rearrange the whole lobby in order to take this picture but it was worth it.  I believe there were 53 of us that went all the way this year.  That is an unofficial count.

After the pictures in the Hampton Inn we headed for the Santa Monica Pier in groups of 5.  Most all groups made it without any trouble and those that had a problem recovered quit well and we were all at the Pier.

There is some serious talk going on here.

Well the Ride is just about over. this is our memory stairs at the end of the Pier.  The All the Way Gang was joined by Terry our Route 66 Ambassador

Boy oh Boy we have gained a ton of weight.  We won't look this way next year.

Everyone is headed back to Dan Rice's Khios for the Raffle Drawing

Sometimes goodbye can be a little hard from old friends.

We are all at Dan Rice's ( that is Dan to my left) and ready for the drawing.

Our Queen Terry is drawing and the Big Winner is Roger Marling a member of the 2011 All the Way Gang.
Following the Drawing many of the Riders head out on their vacation and many go down to Bubba Gumps.  Here is Janet Shelts and Dan Rice having a good talk or at least Janet is, Dan is a good listener.

Tom, Stacey and Harold being proud that they are at the Santa Monica Pier.   SMILE

After everyone left the Pier several of us went to the home of Carol Connors in Beverly Hills.  If you want to know who she is please click the following link:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carol_Connors_(singer).  The next four pictures were taken at Carol house.

Carol playing the Theme from "Rocky" for us plus several other songs she has written.

She loves the "Bumble Bee" as she calls my Motorcycle.

She also love Gary's Corvette.

The Ride is over and the party has started.

I am proud to say that all the Vodka does not belong to us but to Stinger Construction Company who was also staying at the motel.

It was another great year of old and new friends making a difference.  Now we all challenge you to help us make a difference.
